Marsha Nolan
Marsha Nolan passed away on March 9, 2026.

Marsha began studying tai chi in the mid-1970s, when it was first introduced in Central New Jersey by Master Jou Tsung Hwa. At that time, there was very little tai chi available to non-Chinese students. She was among his earliest students and became acquainted with many of the most respected figures in the tai chi community.

Marsha later became a dedicated student of the late Master William Ting. After his passing, she felt a deep responsibility to carry forward and share his teachings. This website stands as her story and as a reflection of her commitment to passing on her knowledge of tai chi and somatics.

Her passing is a tremendous loss to her family, to the tai chi community, and to the world in general. She will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
